Meditation is the process whereby
I go within to the quiet center of power
of my being. I can do this by sitting, by
laying, sometimes by
walking or some other activity that allows me
to let go of the need to focus my mind outward.
It is best achieved
by sitting in a quiet space, free of distractions, eyes closed, watching
MY breath go in and out - but not controlling the breath. watching.
I will sit for as long as I can until I find myself able to sit
with no thought regards to time.
I will read the meditation passage over there and practice
emptying my mind. Practice watching my thoughts come and go. Not trying
to stop them - just watching.
In this way there will come a time when
I will realize that I was not thinking at all.
Practice.
Above all remember that every action, every moment I sit to meditate
is important whether I think I did something or not.

Meditation:
"simply do this: Be still, and lay aside all thoughts of what
you are and what God is;
all concepts you have learned about
the world;
all images you hold about yourself.
Empty your mind
of everything it thinks is either true or false,
or good or
bad,
of every thought it judges worthy, and all ideas of which
it is shamed.
Hold onto nothing.
Do not bring with you one
thought the past has taught,
nor one belief you ever learned
before from anything.
Forget this world,
Forget this course,
and come with wholly empty hands unto your God."

"I am responsible for what I see
I choose the feelings I experience,
and I decide upon the goal I would achieve
And everything that seems to happen to me
I ask for, and receive
as I have asked." A Course in Miracles
